After graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 1989 with a degree in engineering, Brett and a partner founded Vision Software in Silicon Valley. After a number of successful software products, Vision was purchased by a publicly traded company and Brett served on the Board of Directors and ran US operations. From 1996-2000 he helped start ValleyNet, a local ISP, as Senior Network Engineer. From 2001-03 he took a position as Internet Security Researcher at Dartmouth College’s Institute for Security Technologies Studies. After leaving Dartmouth he worked for the US government until 2006. In 2006 he founded ReKnew Energy Systems, Inc.
Zachary Kerin
Received his Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vermont Technical College followed by a Bachelors of Science degree in Sustainable Design (Renewable Energy Track). He is the lead System Design Engineer at ReKnew with experience in residential and commercial design of PV and solar hot water systems. Zac has designed PV systems as large as 2.2 MW and manages various commercial projects.
Joseph Monzillo
Joined ReKnew’s residential sales team in early 2011. Joe worked in management for over 20 years with multi-million dollar manufacturing companies. He is now running ReKnew’s Massachusetts operations.
Peter Corbett
Is a 1980 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Building Construction. He is a licensed general contractor in the state of Florida. Pete has held a number of high profile positions in commercial development in Florida and Georgia and has successfully developed $50MM+ commercial retail projects. Most recently he was president of newSOLergy, LLC in Marietta, GA. and joins ReKnew Energy to help run its commercial division.
Shasta Small
Is a 2009 graduate of Dartmouth College with BA degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Studies. She joined ReKnew in 2009 as the Assistant Marketing Director and specializes in government funding, bid preparation, and presentations for solar projects.
Installation Team
ReKnew works with IBEW to retain highly skilled, pre-qualified solar installers and electricians. “The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) represents approximately 725,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government.”
Is a 1974 graduate of Union College. He has 30+ years experience in marketing and sales. He joined the company in 2008 to focus on its commercial sales and marketing operations. During this time, Steve has managed all of our commercial and municipal projects. Steve is the primary contact for this project and will manage all communications with the town.
