ReKnew Energy In Action: Older Solar Installation Projects and those Currently Under Construction

Newton School, South Strafford, VT – 1.56 kW

This was ReKnew’s first commercial project. This K-8 school wanted some part of their energy system to be visible to the community so in addition to online energy monitoring, the inverter is located outside the school library for public viewing.

Blake Commons Affordable Housing, Swanton, VT

This project began in December of 2009 in conjunction with Vermont Housing Finance Agency, Housing Vermont, Champlain Housing Trust, Vermont Housing & Conservation Board, and the State of Vermont. The system was commissioned in March 2010.

Salmon Run Affordable Housing Complex, Burlington, VT – 2,160 kBTU

This project is the largest solar hot water installation in Vermont to date. It includes 48 total flat plate collectors on seven apartment buildings. Three buildings will have 8 Gobi 410 collectors and four buildings will have 6 Gobi 410 collectors. Installation began June 2010 and was commissioned November 2010.
